I am not as invincible as I thought!

I came out into the mission field believing I was invincible! HA! Apparently I do get sick and the flu shot is not a guaranty! My companion got sick and I told her “Oh don’t worry I never get sick…….” Psych I am even sicker then she was!
Kaitlyn is this girl we’re teaching who is 13! She is just fantastic! I love her family they are all amazing! She loves the scriptures and is so excited about the gospel! She is slowly turning the hearts of her family and its amazing to see her testimony grow as we continue to teach her! This part of missionary work is awesome!
On Wednesday we has a meeting at the church and they where doing young woman and excellence. And Kaitlyn came and sang in it! After our meeting we went in to see her and they had cookies so we had a few….. long story short I almost killed my companion….. I gave her a cookie that we thought was macadamia nuts in it well it turned out to be cashews and she is highly allergic to them and we had to rush over to Walgreens before her throat closed. She’s alive still and is doing well!
Judy!!!! We are teaching this wonderful woman Judy who calls us her “Mormon Sisters” She has such an amazing life story and we are so excited to teach her more! She is also writing a book and wanted a spiritual guide so we gave her Joseph Smith and she relates so much to him!
Saturday and Sunday we did mini missions! Which is when the youth 16 or older live by missionary rules for 2 days and come out with us every where! Well Saturday me and my new companion for the weekend Rylee went and helped Jennifer move her house around! Later that night we went knocking. We had some memorable moments. One of which was this dog came running up to this glass window and smacked his face into it then fell on the floor panting. We thought that because we had knocked on the door this dog had died from impacting his face on it. Then this older woman came to the door and was yelling at us through it. So we backed away and then her dog jumped up and started to bark again. Then on Sunday we went and taught Steven. He’s been investigating the church for 2 years. We finally found out what his real concerns were and we are excited to go back. The girls that were with us taught him to and told him their testimonies. Steven is a very smart man and very kind but he’s going to have to listen to the spirit.

Today and forevermore God’s grace is available to all whose hearts are broken and whose spirits are contrite. Jesus Christ has cleared the way for us to ascend to heights incomprehensible to mortal minds. I pray that we will see with new eyes and a new heart the eternal significance of the Savior’s atoning sacrifice. I pray that we will show our love for God and our gratitude for the gift of God’s infinite grace by keeping His commandments and joyfully “walk[ing] in [a] newness of life.” In the sacred name of our Master and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, amen. – President Dieter F. Uchtdorf.

Because of Christ we can come home and through him we are saved! I know that Heavenly Father loves us and wants the best for us. I know Jesus Christ atoned for all of our sins, burdens, pains, sicknesses, and everything we go through. I know he is the only one at times that knows what your going through and I know that he will lift our burdens if we let him. Christ loves us all and wants the best for us he is the only way that we can come back home and live with our Father in Heaven again and with our families for ever. I love you all!

Love Always,

Sister Malo
